We are excited to dive into one of our most recent projects and showcase it to our wonderful audience: a kitchen that embodies both style and utility. When our client provided the brief, it was evident they sought a space that was not just visually stunning but also highly functional and we feel this kitchen checks all the boxes.
Cutting-Edge Bora Recirculating Hob
Let’s kick things off by discussing the heart of the kitchen—the Bora recirculating hob. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill hob; it utilises induction technology to make cooking incredibly efficient. Imagine cooking dinner in 15 minutes less time…every night…every week…every month…and you’ll get why this feature is a game-changer. It doesn’t just streamline your design, it streamlines your evenings.
What sets the Bora hob apart even more is its integrated extraction unit. This eliminates the need for a separate overhead extractor fan, maintaining the kitchen’s clean, streamlined look. Matte Black Handleless Cabinets
The cabinetry in this kitchen is bold and impactful. Finished in a matte black, these cabinets are designed without handles to maintain a minimalist aesthetic. This handle less style harmonises with the black and white theme of the kitchen, allowing the eye to appreciate the monochrome elegance without unnecessary distractions.
Wall Accents
A friend of our client created the raised texture wall panelling behind the hob and sink units. We feel it balanced the room incredibly well while opening up the space with a design element that fitted the style perfectly.
Premium Soft-Close Drawers
If you’re tired of drawers slamming shut, you’ll love the soft-close feature of the kitchen drawers. These drawers glide smoothly, closing gently without a loud bang. This subtle touch reinforces the overall sense of quality and refinement in the space.
Dual Blomberg Ovens and 1810 Sink
The kitchen also boasts dual side-by-side Blomberg ovens, which not only look good but also provide ample cooking space. Perfect when cooking for a larger number of people while entertaining or just daily convenience. These sleek black appliances (sourced from McCoubreys in Ballynahinch) reiterate the design brief shared by the metallic black sink from the 1810 company and black tap’s black and white motif.
LED Accents
Lastly, the strategically placed LED lighting highlights the unique design elements of the cabinetry. It was paired with a client sourced light from ‘Haus’. This lighting not only illuminates the workspaces but also accentuates the artistic details of the kitchen, elevating its visual appeal and our client’s taste in style perfectly.
Countertop Style
The solid quartz worktop was fitted by County Down firm Sone Unlimited and we love its contrast against the statement black cabinetry.
Black and White Brilliance
The black and white color scheme is striking yet timeless. This design choice creates a striking visual contrast that’s eye-catching without being overwhelming. Its monochromatic palette lends an air of sophistication, while maintaining a functional and streamlined space, perfect for modern living.
