Project Description
If farmhouse kitchen style is your thing, we think you’ll love this recently completed kitchen in County Down. From window shutters to wall panelling with panel gable ends on the island to match, the farrow and ball colour palette of Pavillion Grey and Pigeon is singing harmoniously in this home.
One of the most popular traits of a farmhouse kitchen is to combine antique or worn furniture into the style and this family table no doubt has a few stories to tell while it makes you feel at home and compliments the style beautifully.
As a Quooker stockist, one of our favourite things about this quooker classic fusion tap is the hidden extras you can’t see. Beneath the traditional look it has a pro 3 cube fitted offering extra features of ice cold or sparkling water to add to the instant boiling water function more commonly associated with the quooker tap and ofcourse normal tap water when required aswell. (Contact us for Quooker retail enquiries.) It wouldn’t be a farmhouse without a large double ceramic sink offering plenty of space for every size and shape of saucepan and naturally a lovely setting for the Quooker classic tap model.
We built a mantle over this range with cupboards for storing condiments and spices, so they are always in a handy location, with a shelf above for seasonal décor and ornaments. The mantel style above matches the client’s cabinet door choice which was Inframe Belgravia
The two full-height larder units contain space towers for drawer-like convenience with tall cupboard storage volume, giving our client both accessibility and capacity at the same time.
You’ll notice two farrow and ball colours here with Pigeon in the main cabinets and Pavilion Grey on the kitchen island, complimented by another familiar element to farmhouse kitchens – a natural stone worktop. This leather look solid quartz worktop is called emporium leather fitted by the talented team from Stone Unlimited and it is shown here with a ‘no fuss’ pencil round edge profile. Also on the island you’ll see the handiwork of our workshop foreman who handmade this bespoke wine rack from new Hampshire oak pairing nicely (pardon the pun) with the natural wood topped stools, and kitchen table.
The client requested a working area to the side of the kitchen living space which we matched to the kitchen cabinets and door hardware to carry the theme throughout their open plan space.
