Project Description
This warm and welcoming traditional style in-frame kitchen invites you to ‘pull up a seat and pop the kettle on’ while admiring the many details included in its design. The door style chosen by this client features a raised moulded frame and lends itself perfectly to the glass display cabinets over the seating area snug. The colour of this kitchen is a firm favourite here (Farrow and Ball Skimming Stone) and offers that crisp, clean look while still achieving the welcoming atmosphere that stands out in this country home.
Keeping with the traditional theme, our clients added detail to the solid quartz worktop when they chose an ogee mould edge profile. The quartz name is ‘shiitake’ and we love how it keeps the space light and bright when combined with the cabinet colour.
A tiled splash back behind the corner hob added both texture and colour to balance the design while a built-in canopy above it was styled with an ornamental shelf for décor and the same profile style matching the doors. A continuous pelmet wired with LED spotlights connects the canopy to the full height cabinets and display units also, bringing everything together.
The undermount sink shown here with a traditional Putney bridge tap was sourced from the 1810 company. It’s ‘concrete’ colour offers a welcome contrast to typical stainless-steel alternatives and compliments the quartz and room décor colour palate.
The tall cabinets house a great deal of storage and include the Blum drawer range with a full height space tower located to the right-hand side of the fridge freezer although not shown in the photography.
Making best use of storage space was key in this design with drawer storage also maximised. You can see 11 drawers here with 4 cutlery depth perfect for a clutter free and functional kitchen.
The hob, microwave and oven appliances all favoured the Blomberg brand. With a five-year guarantee and superior build quality, we can easily understand why.
The built-in seating area forms the focus of the design. It’s perfect for breakfast to dinner dining without the clutter of moveable seats and framed with panelled backing also in Farrow and Ball’s skimming stone it completes the style from wall to wall.
Wishing our clients many years of happiness in their new kitchen. If you are based in Northern Ireland, have a new build and would like to book a consultation click here to arrange an appointment.
